A new report from Child Trends highlights the effectiveness of Technical Assistance (TA) in strengthening family child care networks. Through strategic partnerships with organizations across the nation, All Our Kin is building strong, educator-focused networks that are transforming communities and the child care landscape.

Our TA model is designed with flexibility and precision and is tailored to the unique needs and strengths of each partner, creating a pathway for family child care to thrive.

Key Findings from the Report:
  • 93% of participants in All Our Kin’s Network Development trainings reported increased confidence to launch and sustain a family child care network.

  • Nearly 90% of TA partners who took our Train-the-Trainer felt prepared to deliver All Our Kin’s Business Series, which teaches critical financial and marketing skills to family child care educators.

  • Educators who took the Business Series from partners that we had trained in turn showed a statistically significant increase in family child care business knowledge.
A Proven Approach with Nationwide Reach

For over 25 years, All Our Kin has been elevating the work of family child care educators. From our early efforts in Connecticut and New York to the present, where we now partner with organizations in 33 states, we’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of relationship-centered support in strengthening high-quality child care.

This latest report from Child Trends confirms what we’ve known all along: Scaling our model not only works, but it is a critical strategy to address the deep challenges facing the child care system.
