A: 5 años y medio

Q: ¿Por qué decidió dedicarse a la Educación para la Primera Infancia? / Why did you decide to go into Early Childhood Education?
A: Mi jefa me motivó por que vio la pasión y conexión que había en mi con los niños. Creo que lo tenía en mi corazón desde niña ya que me encantaba jugar hacer la maestra pero fue aquí en este país que al emigrar se me dio la oportunidad y vi mi passion y seguí los latidos de mi corazón. Hoy con mi experiencia como educadora y coach siento que los niños son nuestros maestro y son ellos quien pueden transformar el mundo. Amo lo que hago y trabajar en lo que amas es maravilloso.
My boss motivated me because she saw the passion and the connection I had with the children. I think I had it in my heart since I was a child because I loved to pretend play teacher, but it was when I immigrated to this country that I had the opportunity, that I recognized my passion and followed my heart. Today, with my experience as an educator and a coach, I feel like the children are our teachers and that they are the ones who can transform the world. I love what I do, and working in what you love is wonderful.
Q: ¿Qué significa el Mes de la Herencia Hispana (Latinx) para usted? / What does Latinx Heritage Month mean to you?
A: Ser latina es mi orgullo es la herencia que dejaron nuestros ancestros. Es sentír en todo mi ser esas raices fuertes,es levar esa valentia que si me caigo me vuelvo a parar ante cualquiera adversidad, es la fortaleza de lucha, el amar con el corazón, es tener un corazón dispuesto a dar es tener los brazos dispuestos a ayudar, es no importar que te toque comenzar desde ceros una y otra vez lo importante es dejar huella esa huella de amor por la humanidad y por lo qué haces. Es levatarme con orgullo y la cabeza en alto de lo que soy y de donde venga.
I am proud to be Latina, it is the legacy of our ancestors. It is feeling those strong roots in all my being; it is to carry that courage that allows me to stand up again when I fall due to setbacks; it is the strength to fight; it is to love with my heart; it is to have a heart ready to give; it is to be ready to help out; it is ignoring the fact that you might have to start from scratch over and over again. The important thing is to leave a mark, that love mark for humanity and for what you do. It is to stand up with pride and with my head held high because of who I am and where I come from.
Q: ¡Cuéntenos un poco sobre usted! ¿Qué disfruta hacer en su tiempo libre? ¿Algún pasatiempo? ¿Pasiones? ¿Algo que nos sorprendería? / Tell us a little about yourself! What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? Any hobbies? Passions? Anything that would surprise us?
A: Colocar música bailar y sentir los tambores de mi música latina, vibrar desde mi cabeza hasta los pies logrando que mi cuerpo dance sin querer parar solo dejándose llevar por el sonido y la vibración de mi bella música latina.
I like to listen to music, to dance and to feel the drums of my Latin music; vibrate from my head to my toes making my body dance without stopping only being swept away by the sounds and the vibration of my beautiful Latin music.
Cuando se emigra a un país donde tú cultura es diferente lo más maravilloso que te puede pasar es contagiar a los demás de lo bello que hay en tus raíces, y aprender a respetar las raíces de los demás.
