All Our Kin’s Pathways to Quality program is a five-part professional learning series for family child care educators who want to strengthen their practice or become nationally recognized for their expertise as home-based child care professionals.

This 8-week initiative, available in English and Spanish with simultaneous interpretation, offers educators the tools and guidance they need to meet the standards set by the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC).

Grounded in the NAFCC Accreditation framework, this series helps you develop your program across five core areas:

  • Relationships: Building trust and strong communication with children, families, and their communities — the foundation for quality care.
  • Learning Environments: Designing engaging spaces that meet the developmental needs, interests or cultural backgrounds of the children in their program, sparking curiosity and growth.
  • Health & Safety: Learning practical strategies to maintain a safe and healthy environment, including daily routines, hygiene, nutrition, and emergency preparedness.
  • Learning Activities: Turning everyday routines into learning experiences while supporting each child’s cognitive, language, motor, and social-emotional development.
  • Outdoor Learning: Supporting whole-child development through outdoor play by enhancing cognitive growth, strengthening gross motor skills, and fostering emotional regulation.

Who is this series for?

  • Licensed Family Child Care Educators with at least 1 year of experience
  • Currently caring for at least 2 children
  • Educator has completed All Our Kin’s 10-week Business Series
  • Priority for those who already have their self-study kit from NAFCC
