October 15th Session- Supporting Neurodiversity and inclusion in family child care

This workshop will help you strengthen your ability to support children with autism, sensory needs, and developmental delays.

Participants will:

  • Learn how co-teaching and collaboration can help support children
  • Discuss how understanding neurodiversity can strengthen relationships with children and families
  • Identify ways assistants and substitutes can support the educator in meeting the needs of all children.
  • Explore strategies for creating an inclusive family child care environment that supports children with a variety of developmental and learning needs.

November 9th Session- How You Can Use the Pyramid Model to Support Your Program

This session will be based on learnings from the Pyramid model and how it can help educators create calm, caring, and welcoming programs where all children can learn and grow.

Participants will:

  • Learn how the pyramid model can support all children.
  • Explore simple ways to create a calm and inclusive program.
  • Learn how to support children with different needs.
  • Talk about the many roles family child care educators have.
  • Identify ways to get support when a child needs extra help.
